All
Welcome! Come along for a terrific evening
with Mel! |
|
Mel
Sinclair is a Brisbane-based Landscape and
Creative Photographer. She has been entering
and judging photographic competitions worldwide
for several years, and has gleaned many insightful
tips for entrants, regardless of the competition
you enter!
Mel will discuss how to prepare your images

|
"Landscape
Photography is my Zen, my passion. I love
nothing more than time with my camera and
a scene in front of me to capture and turn
into art, the perfect copy of what I saw in
my minds' eye.
My visual career began with undertaking University
study in the Fine Arts, and in turn, I have
had a lot of exposure different disciplines
within the creative industries.
This creative training has allowed me to develop
my attitudes and styles within Contemporary
and Traditional Fine Art Photography. I am
a member of the AIPP (Australian Institute
of Professional Photography) and have judged
both local and international photography awards". |

Creating
a Conceptual Art Portfolio with
Phillipa Frederiksen |
|
 |
|
Have
you ever considered producing
a portfolio of your work?
A portfolio is a selection of
images that make up a whole,
so that many individual photographs
become one body of work.
In
2017 Phillipa Frederiksen instigated
a new initiative for APS (Australian
Photographic Society) that would
cater for members who wish to
develop their photographic talents
through an
avenue other than competitions.
This new initiative is known
as CAPA > The Conceptional
Art Portfolio Award.
This
evening Phillipa will present
on the concepts and structure
that will help you to understand
and begin the process of creating
your own personal portfolio
of work.

Mick
Porter is a Brisbane Wedding Photographer
who comes from a background in landscape
and portrait photography. Mick committed
to specialising in wedding photography
several years ago.
Since then he has developed a distinctive
style that flows between the candid
moments and the carefully crafted,
the colour and black & white,
the natural light and expertly applied
artificial lighting, the close shots
of people and the open vistas with
people artistically situated within
them.
Come along for an evening with
Mick Porter as he shares his photogrpahy
and tips!
