Join us for a relaxed afternoon of photography amongst the beautiful jacarandas at the University of Queensland's St Lucia campus.

UQ is one of Brisbane's most popular locations during jacaranda season, when the campus bursts into colour with spectacular purple blooms set against its iconic sandstone buildings.

We'll meet at 3:30 pm and spend the afternoon exploring the campus, with plenty of opportunities to photograph the jacarandas, historic architecture, pathways and gardens. Whether you're looking for sweeping scenes filled with purple, interesting compositions amongst the sandstone arches, close-up details or something a little more creative, there will be plenty to inspire you.

This will be a casual social outing, so you're welcome to wander at your own pace, photograph with other members and simply enjoy a spring afternoon with your camera.

Once everyone has finished shooting, we'll get together for an optional drink or coffee nearby… a chance to relax, catch up and perhaps compare a few favourite shots from the afternoon.
